Our Events

Established in 2023, our Mommy ISD Homeschool Co-Op is a faith-based collaborative co-op that empowers parents to do homeschooling their own way cosistently in community.  Our core values include Community (we come/grow together), Collaboration (we build/work together), and Autonomy (we respect homeschool rhythms & support bringing-your-own curriculum choice/study methods). We value Academic Autonomy and welcome families to join us weekly as their schedule allows regardless if they participate in other Co-Op's or not because we'd love to support you as a community.  Our homeschool co-op features bi-monthly 1st Friday Discovery Communities (Field Trip/Career & Technology Exploration Fridays), bi-weekly 2nd & 4th Thursday Learning Communities (Mom's Community Building E-Circles & Student Activity Days/BYO curriculum academic Thursdays) to grow academically in community with others,  monthly (3rd week) volunteer/community service projects, an Annual Homeschool Awards Ceremony (Spring), challenge-based learning projects, and cultivates home educator professional development resources/training opportunities.

Fall 2026 Semester Co-Op Registration Opens Online 7/30/26!

To register, simply complete & submit the following items:

(1) Online Registration Form 

(2) Co-Op Agreement Form Print, Read, Sign & Return co-op agreement doc linked HERE

(3) Pay Semester Registration Fee ($30 or $40 based on #children age 4+ participating) by August 31, 2026. ​​​​

These monthly Mommy ISD events give homeschool students and families opportunities to serve our communities in a variety of ways each semester with a local non-profit organization. Registration is required and volunteers are always welcome to help us love our neighbor as ourselves. (Dates/Times/Locations TBD)

This event will take place in-person and virtually on a monthly basis to introduce homeschooling families interested in learning more about the vision, mission, and overview of Mommy ISD as an organization.  Come join us and let's talk about how we can partner together to empower your homeschool journey!

These quarterly training events will strategically help jump start your homeschool with skills and tools to help you move forward in a variety of unique areas of need for homeschooling students, home educators, and their families.  Together we will learn how to better invest in our faith, family, and children's educational future.  Registration is required to attend each event.

Join us as Mommy ISD celebrates and highlights the great end-of-year accomplishments each of our homeschool students has made.  We will host a Moving-Up Awards Ceremony recognizing each students unique achievements and conclude with a prayer blessing for the next school year.  A reception will immediately follow.  (Time/Location TBD) 

Our 1st annual back to homeschool supply drive was a success!  Thanks to our anonymous donors Mommy ISD gathered brand new school supplies from our basic homeschool supply list July 23-August 2, 2023.  Distribution took place at the Greater Waco Christian Home Educators (GWCHE) Resource Fair on August 3, 2023 where Mommy ISD was able to bless 25 children in Pre-K-12 schools and homeschools with free bags of school supplies.  A special thanks to our Mommy ISD core team for their participation in making our 1st annual homeschool supply drive event successful!
